We led an in-depth discovery process and conducted extensive user research to define the organization’s goals, to identify key users for the site, and to understand what information was most important to those users. Based on this feedback, we created a series of recommendations, produced multiple design prototypes, tested those prototypes with users, and developed detailed product, design, and data requirements for the agency’s internal development team.

A client wanted to know how well their reporting platform was meeting the needs of institutional partners statewide. We developed and implemented a research plan to evaluate the effectiveness of the site for these key users. Based on this research (and our design expertise) we provided the client with specific recommendations for improving the user experience of the platform. We prioritized these recommendations by level of effort and expected impact and we created clear, practical, and actionable documentation that allowed the client’s internal teams to immediately begin implementing changes.

An intergovernmental organization needed to rethink the way it was delivering training to tens of thousands of healthcare workers internationally. The training materials needed to accommodate both in-person facilitation as well as self-directed remote learning. We worked with participants, technical officers, medical professionals, and researchers to understand the practical challenges of their work and we used this information to design a more scalable, user-centered training that was deployed worldwide.
